Corlay Cattle Company was formed in 1986 in the small community of Dodge, TX located about 8 miles east of Huntsville. Originally raising crossbred cattle, the company became interested in Brangus cattle about 8 years ago. Brangus cattle offer the hybrid vigor of the brahman breed with the carcasses qualities of the angus breed…a perfect combination for our East Texas climate and pastures. Pursuing our interest, Corlay Cattle Company has purchased some of the best donor cows available and practices a very controlled master plan of breeding and is a proud owner of the best bulls available in the breed. We presently having a herd of a 100 F-1 recipient cows and strive to produce approximately 80-100 embryo calves per year. In 2007, Corlay Cattle Company began an embryo program using Hoodoo bred Charolais donor cows and now produces show club calves.

Corlay Cattle Company is family-owned by Dr. J.T. (Jody) Crawford Jr. his wife, Patty, and their two sons. The ranch derives its name from a combination of their two sons, Cory and Clay. Dr. Crawford is a practicing dentist in Huntsville, while Patty is the Office Manager. Cory is the General Manager of Oldcastle Concrete in Brookshire, while Clay is a corporate salesman for BJ Services in San Antonio.

Republic Whitetails, located in the heart of East Texas Piney Woods, has over 1600 acres under high fence. Republic Whitetails implemented a year round supplemental feeding program consisting of protein pellets, high energy corn, alfalfa, mineral licks, as well as both summer and winter food plots…all designed to give each deer a chance to reach their maximum antler growth potential. We provide you the finest accommodations in our new 4500+ sq. foot lodge with 4 bedrooms, 3 baths, indoor/outdoor media room with pool table, and a fire conversation pit. Meals vary from “down home cooking”, famous Texas barbeque, regional Tex-Mex, to the best steaks you ever had…we let you decide what you want. While we can accommodate up to 10 hunters, we prefer to have smaller groups of friends and families to enjoy the full package and facilities. After you have harvested your deer, if you would like further adventure, we can provide East Texas hog hunts, duck hunting on the Trinity River or one of our seven lakes, fishing for largemouth bass, sporting clay shooting, quail hunting, golf on one of the areas fine courses, or you can be lazy and just relax and enjoy the East Texas laid back atmosphere and landscape.

Whitetail Haven LLC was developed with the sole purpose of taking the top end whitetail genetics and combined with a very selective and intensive artificial insemination program take these whitetail genetics to a new level.

Using top end doe genetics from the lines of Buddy Jordan, Vernon Mosley, Robert Williams, Leo Hicks, and Billy Powell with the buck genetics from Maxbo, Handsome, Elvis, Gladiator, Stickers, 727, White 7, Leo, and Monarch II, our goal is to produce the best genetic proven offspring available. We want does that carry long lines of proven buck genetics but also bred early and produce high quality offsprings year after year. We want bucks that pass on the high Boone and Crockett scores but also produce doe offsprings that are high end producers as well as great milkers and mommas.

With over 35 acres of facilities, 26 separate breeding and holding pens, and a state of the art handling facility, we provide our deer with a five star facility to achieve our breeding goals. With an intensive worming and vaccination program, the best nutritional feed and supplements, and daily management and observation, we are reaching our goal of superior genetic whitetails, both on the buck side and the doe side.
